Here we are at the western corner of the lot, facing WSW. If you look at the plat, below, you can orient yourself with the property.
The lot (#11, circled) is about 1/3 of an acre with city water and sewer and it is an interior lot (ie, no view of the lake or the mountains). It is a corner lot on the entryway to a cul-de-sac and currently there are no homes built on the street.

In this photo, Laurel is standing about where the house would be, and she is facing generally ENE.
If Laurel turned a bit to the north in the previous photo, this is about what her view would look like... This is basically the "backyard" of our property. It may be hard to notice, but the center of the photo shows the dramatic drop-off at the northeastern part of the property which is part of a 100-year floodplan. In other words, nothing is going to be built to our rear.
This photo shows an orientation of the plat upon the actual land. Jeff is standing at the ENE point of the property facing WSW. The largest tree in the photo is the one that Laurel has to her left in the above photo.
Tellico Village is spread out over 4600 acres and has 6000+ lots. Additionally, there are 3 golf courses (the closest one is about 4 miles away from our lot) a clubhouse and a marina. Below are a few photos:
This photo was taken by Jeff while eating lunch at the clubhouse. Across Tellico Lake you can see the Tanasi Golf Course and just a few homes peeking through the trees. By the way - these photos are NOT taken from our property... The course / clubhouse / marina is about 4 miles away from our lot.
Jeff got to sneak in a round of golf and this is a shot from a tee box at one of the par-3's.
